I’m a young guy. I’m not even thirty yet. But the way I was eating and not taking care of myself before I started this blog, I was headed toward a very unhealthy life. I’d always had an easy go with my health. It didn’t seem like it mattered what I ate or how I took care of myself. But that stopped recently. I guess time finally caught up with me. I got heartburn whenever I ate anything greasy. I felt tired all the time. I started packing on the pounds; I have a naturally skinny frame, and when I gain weight it all goes to my waist; it was shocking to see I had gained 30 lbs in only a year.

I have a baby girl, who means the world to me. I need to stick around as long as possible. And I’ve decided that I’m going to do something about my health right now, before I get to the point that it’s too hard to turn back. One of my favorite subjects is fitness. I was a runner in school. I love talking about fitness, exercise, and healthy eating. I’m also a cook. So, I’m going to take the opportunity, in this blog, to discuss my own life as well as the health-related news with my readers.

I hope to hear from readers. Please comment. Please tell me your story. I want to hear from as many people as possible. I want help on my journey. I don’t have an ego. I’m not going to pretend I know all the answers; if I did, I wouldn’t have gotten unhealthy in the first place. I want people to tell me what has worked for them, what helped get them on the right track. I want encouragement, and I want to encourage you as well.

Thanks for reading the Exercise Gazette.

Kip.
